We've almost learnt to respect our world

Nowadays, there are a lot of improvements in order to protect the environment. But, is it really true that we have almost learnt to respect our world? There's still a lot of bad things affect our world.
In a way, I agree with the idea that we've made an improvement in our attitude towards teh earth. There are a lot of clean energy plants, a considerable number of foundations and charities,... But it's also true that we became more irresponsible: cars are overused, the seas are polluted,...

If we respect our world, a lot of things will mostly disappear, and the government isn't showing any interest in that. Respect the world creates less money than destroying it, so it's not a good idea to preserve it. Seems crazy, eh? People literally killing a lot of life forms only for money. Unfortunately, the world is full of such bad people.
I think that this masacre won't stop until the earth becomes uninhabitable. Instead of losing one million euros, for example, they eill lose 30 million to make another planet comfortable for human life (maybe they would find one already prepared, but surely they will let non-important people die here). Silly, very silly. If it's like this, I think that the people who are getting richer due to this "way-of-doing" things are very stupid, or maybe "normal people" will pay for the rich's errors
